Installation guide
Follow these steps to add Source365 to your Outlook. No admin rights required for personal installation.
Download the manifest file
Click the button below to download the Source365 manifest file (.xml). This file tells Outlook where to load the add-in from — it contains no sensitive information.
Open Outlook and go to Add-ins
In Outlook on the web (outlook.office.com or outlook.live.com), open any email and click the three-dot menu (⋯) in the toolbar. Select "Get Add-ins" or "Manage Add-ins".
Using the Outlook desktop app? Go to Home → Get Add-ins in the ribbon.
Select "My add-ins" and upload
In the Add-ins dialog, click "My add-ins" in the left sidebar. Scroll down to "Custom add-ins" and click "+ Add a custom add-in" → "Add from file...".
Select the manifest file
Choose the manifest.xml file you downloaded in step 1. Outlook will warn you that it's a custom add-in — click Install to proceed.
Open Source365 in an email
Open any procurement inquiry email. You will now see the Source365 icon in the Outlook toolbar. Click it to open the taskpane and sign in with your Microsoft account.
A free 7-day trial starts automatically after sign-in — no credit card required.
Frequently asked questions
Something not working? Check below or email our support team.
Yes. IT administrators can deploy the manifest centrally via the Microsoft 365 admin center under Settings → Integrated apps → Upload custom apps. This pushes the add-in to all selected users automatically.
No. Any Microsoft 365 user can add a custom add-in for their own account via Outlook on the web without requiring admin approval.
No. Your account, search history, and settings are stored in Source365's cloud — not in the add-in itself. Reinstalling or updating the manifest won't affect your data.
Source365 is currently optimised for Outlook on the web and the Outlook desktop app. Mobile support is on our roadmap.
Updates are delivered automatically through the taskpane — you don't need to reinstall the manifest unless we release a new major version.
Try opening a message (not the compose window) — the add-in only activates in read mode. If it still doesn't appear, close and reopen Outlook, then check under "My add-ins" to verify the installation succeeded.
